Overview
Bloom ("we", "our", "the app") is built with your privacy as the top priority. We do not collect, sell, or share your personal data. Your mood entries, activity logs, and personal information stay on your device and, if you choose, in your private iCloud account.
What Data We Store
Bloom stores the following data locally on your device:
- Your first name (entered during onboarding)
- Mood check-in scores and optional notes
- Activity completion logs
- Daily streak count
- Notification preferences
- App settings and preferences
iCloud Sync
If you enable iCloud sync, your data is synced to your private iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit framework. This data is associated with your Apple ID and governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. We do not have access to data stored in your iCloud account.
Subscriptions & Purchases
All in-app purchases and subscription management are handled entirely by Apple via StoreKit. We do not receive or store your payment information, Apple ID, or billing details. For subscription management, refer to Apple's App Store policies.
AI Coach Feature
If the AI personalization feature is enabled, anonymized context (your mood score, activity type, and general goals — no name or identifying information) may be sent to OpenAI's API to generate a personalized activity instruction. No data is stored by OpenAI beyond standard API logging. This feature is optional and the app works fully without it.
Analytics & Tracking
Bloom does not use any third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or tracking frameworks. We do not track you across apps or websites.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.
Data Deletion
You can delete all your data at any time: open Bloom → Settings → Reset All Data. This permanently removes all mood entries, activity logs, and profile data from your device. To remove iCloud data, delete the app or manage iCloud storage in iPhone Settings.
Children's Privacy
Bloom is rated 4+ and does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. The app does not require account creation or any personally identifiable information beyond an optional first name.
